About
Della's Bar
Della's Bar, originally The Pirates Den is now known for the best Hand made pizza in town.
In the year 2000, an ole gal nicknamed Smiles or Sunshine, started working at The Pirates Den. Now this place had a little bit of a reputation, although most of it was blown way out of proportion. There was from time to time a little scuffle, but never anything bad. No stabbings, or shootings just cussings and fussings. (Come on now, when you mix boos, babes and broozers there is a chance of that happening.) But ole Smiles would work her charm, cool things down and get back with the program, which was making sure everyone was having a good time. Eventually, the place changed hands and after a couple of years, and at customers requests the name was changed to "Della's".
San Jacinto County is "dry county" for Liquor-by-the-drink, therefore, we have to be a "Private Club". Any one who has ever tried to buy a beer could damn well tell ya about that. We don't make the rules, but we certainly have to obey them.
Memberships:
As mentioned, Della's Bar is a private club, with over 200 current members. Being a member entitles you to having a vote in what happens, when it happens and how it happens. Being a member also allows you the privilege of entertaining your own guests. Up to three friends can visit with you and drink on your membership, as long as you are present. When you leave, they must also leave, or purchase their own membership. Memberships are $ 5.00 per year. That's less than $ .10 (10 cents) per week, that's cheap rental. If you have an email address on file, you will automatically be notified of special events, membership meetings, expiration of your membership, odds and ends type stuff.
